What do you do when you get to school?

What do you when you walk to the office or lunch?
You walk in a quietly and straight line.
When you come to school late like after 9:00, what do you do?
You need to go to the office to get a late slip and a breakfast.
How do you work with classmates in a group?
By taking turns talking, listening, and sharing.
What do you do to help others be a better student?
You encourage others by saying positive things. No put downs!
How do you ask for help in class?
You ask you partner and group. If you still can't get the answer raise your hand quietly and wait.
When recess is over what should you do?
You must stop what you are doing and quickly line up against the wall.
Where should 2nd grade students play during recess?
We can play on the jungle gym, the basketball court, and the field.
How many people is considered a group?
2 or more people.
How do students respect other students properties?
By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.
When can I use the bathroom?
Before school, before lunch, and recess. You can not go during whole group learning times.
What happens to you when you do not follow directions at recess or if you keep playing?
You might get wall detention and or lose your recess time. A phone call could be made to your family, and in severe cases you may need to go speak to the principal.
How can I go to the safe space?
Go over safe space routines
What should you do if someone is bothering you?
You should use your words and tell them they are bothering you, you should walk away, you should tell the teacher.
What kind of food can students have in class?
Water. Snack in the afternoon.
When can I sharpen my pencil?
You may not sharpen pencils, unless it is your job. If you need a new pencil you may get one from your bin.
What do you do when Mr. Martina says: "Mr. Martina's class, LINE UP!"
You will walk quietly and quickly to the wall and line up in your line order.
What happens if I put my hands on another student, say a bad word, or leave the class because I am angry?
Explain consequences for serious behaviors.
What should you do if a classmate is crying or angry?
Ask them if they need help, tell the teacher, give your friend a tissue if they are crying, or give them space if they are angry.
How can you respect others?
By listening to them, taking turns sharing, and using appropriate language and gestures.
How do students line up?
In line order (Explain line order).
How should you behave in the hallway to the cafeteria?
You should hold your lunch and lunch number in your hands, and walk quietly in line order.
When can you go out of the class?
You can't unless your teacher sends you with a note or a hall pass.
When should we use different noise levels in class?
Explain the noise levels in class.
