W.I.N. Time
What do you do when you first enter this class?
Find a spot to sit where you won't be too chatty during instruction.
What do you do when you want to talk in class?
Raise your hand and wait patiently to be called on.
What are the three phrases we use for our school rules?
Stick Together, No Hurts, Have Fun
Where are the tissues?
By the sink and on the window sill. Also, always use hand sanitizer after you use a tissue.
What do you bring to W.I.N. time?
pencil and eraser, clipboard, pouch/box of supplies
Who do you ask for help in class?
You ask your partner/group or Mr. Owen.
Why does it mean to Stick Together?
Go where the group is going. Do what you are asked to do in class. Follow along with the lesson.
What do you do if you need something in class?
How do you show respect for other students' things?
By not touching or messing with something that does not belong to you.
When can you use the bathroom?
Before we start W.I.N. time or after we are finished.
What does No Hurts mean?
What does work together mean?
taking turns, sharing ideas, listening to others, stick together on the same problem

When can you sharpen a pencil?
Anytime you are working on your own or with a group.
What does it mean to Have Fun?
Be in control of your body and your actions. Be kind and encouraging. Be a good sport.
What should working in a group sound like?
Students talking quietly about the work and not disrupting others.
What is your job during W.I.N. time?
stay focused and participate in the learning
What do you do if you cannot sharpen your pencil but you really need to keep writing?
Put your old one in the unsharpened cup and get a new one from the pencil dispenser.
Why do we have rules at school?
To keep us safe and have a helpful learning environment.
How do you choose a seat?
Pick somewhere that you will be able to do your best work
