What do you do when you get in class?
Check the table at the front of the classroom for morning work, complete planner message and start on morning work
What do you do if you come to school late
Enter the room quietly and throw out your late slip. Complete the morning routine.
What do you do when you walk in the hallway?
You walk quietly, in a straight line at a good pace.
How do you get your group to work together?
By taking turns talking, sharing and most importantly listening.
How do you ask for help in class?
You quietly ask your partner and group. If Ms. Deacon not busy with another student come see me. If Ms. Deacon is busy with another student, grab a number from the waiting room and Ms. Deacon will call you. NO BIG LINES.
What do you do if you are absent?
You get your missing work from the folders at the front of the classroom.
What are the assembly expectations?
No hats, no gum, enter silently, and sit quietly while we listen to the presentation.
What does a productive group look like?
Everyone has a job, there is a leader, everyone is collaborating to achieve the goal.
What do you do if you have to use the bathroom?
Think about whether or not it is a good time to go. Check to see if there are two name tags at the washroom sign out.
If not, get name tag and put it at the sign out

Quietly on the right side of the hallway. Not touching the door frames or walls.
What do you do if you broke a class rule, are feeling an uncomfortable emotion, or are having a disagreement?
Take a break, go for a walk (ask for permission) and/or seek help for conflict resolution skills.
What is the most important classroom rule?
ALL OF THEM!
When can I sharpen my pencil?
Any time but during a lesson
What should your desk look like?
My desk should be organized and should only include school supplies. It may have one fidget toy.
What should you do at recess?
You should be safe and keep your hands to yourself. You should also have fun, ne kind and walk away if you can't resolve a conflict properly.
Why is group work important?
Learn how to work with others, resolve conflicts, manage different ideas, collaborate with others to achieve greater things.
How do students line up?
I push my chair, line up quietly, facing the front and wait.
What is our dismissal routine?
Stack our chair, clean our space, grab our planners, pack our bags and line up quietly in the hall to be dismissed.
How should you behave during lunch?
Stay seated unless you need to go to the washroom, throw out trash or fill up your water bottle. Keeping your volume level at a "group" volume.
What kind of noise will working in group sound like?
Students talking quietly but not disrupting others.
