What must you do if you have a question?
Quietly raise your hand and wait to be called on, or wait for the teacher to come to you.
What is the sign if you'd like to leave the room (bathroom, nurse, water, locker)?
The sign language "R".
What do you do when the teacher, or a student she called on, is talking?
Listen attentively.
Pencils
Teachers desk, ask to borrow.
What do you do when you need a pencil?
Make sure you have one (or two!) at the beginning of class, don't wait until class has started!
If needed borrow one from a friend or me. Give the pencil back.
When can you go to the bathroom?
When it's not direct instruction, and once you show the "R" sign. The teacher nods her head and allows you to go.
What do you do if you need your pencil sharpened?
Sharpen it during a time where the teacher is not talking.
Are you allowed to eat in class?
Sure...unless you leave a mess behind. Then eating privileges are gone for the whole class for the rest of the trimester.

Do you need your cell phone for class?
NO! It should be off all school day.
Where should we keep our hands and feet?
To ourselves!
What do you do if you need a tissue?
Get up quietly, use a tissue, throw it away, and sit back down.
What should you use to write with on classwork?
A pencil or a pen. We DO NOT use markers, colored pencils, or crayons to write with.
In the student area, wipe clean after use.
YES! Every day it should come with and be put under your chair!
How do you enter the classroom?
1. Walk quietly to put your iPad away
2. Use your red card/cell phone to do attendance
3. Sit at your desk
4. Read the board and complete instructions
Describe the correct way to get your iPad from the cart.
When instructed walk quietly towards the cart, unplug the iPad that matches their number, and walk back to their seats through the front of the class.
How do you show that you have an answer or comment in class?
Raise your hand! Do NOT blurt.

YES!!! If you do not you will be doing the work on paper and then copying it into your work book.
What happens if you don't follow the expectations.
It depends:
1. Conversation with me
2. Call/Email home
3. Office referral
What does "follow directions the first time" mean?
Follow directions immediately; listen and do what the teacher asks you to do the first time.
What happens if your work is missing?
It will be marked as missing in the gradebook. If you run up more than a few missing works your parents will be notified.
Where are bandaids and other emergency kit items?
In the student area (also you do not need to ask for a bandaid!)
Your friend needs a pencil. He sits a few rows away from you. How do you give it to him?
Stand up, walk over to him, and hand it to him nicely.
