In your own words, explain each of the four interactions?

  1. Competition is when two creatures (organisms) compete for resources (food/water) in an area of space (forest).

  2. Predation involves predators (hunters) and prey (being hunted). When there is much prey in an area, the predators’ population will increase because of an abundance (a lot) of food for them to eat. When there are few prey in an area, the predators will starve and their population will decrease (go down).

  3. Mutualism is when two different species help each other (bee/flower).

  4. Parasitism is when 1 species benefits and the other suffers (Human/Tapeworm).
