What should you do if you are struggling to complete an assignment, even though you are trying your very best?
Please, please, please, come and talk to me. We can meet during lunch or after school to help with what you are struggling with.
I am more lenient on due dates of assignments when you talk with me about them.
What should you do if you feel like you are going to be sick in the classroom?
Raise your hand and let me know. Then leave the room and go to the nurse right away. If you feel you can not make it, grab a trash can in my room and try to step outside of the room. Then go to the nurse. If I can't fill in your log book before you go to the nurse, I will fill in your log book when you get back.
What happens if you don’t follow the school or classroom rules?
1. Get a warning from the teacher/admin.
2. Call home, lunch detention
3. Call home, ISS
4. Call Home, suspension
What should you do if you have a question when the teacher is doing small groups?
Re-look at the problem and try again to answer it. Next, see if your peers in your group can help you. Do not ask me unless you have exhausted all your possibilities.
What are your choices if you finish classwork early?
1. READ
2. Write in your journal.

Get it done and turn it in so you don't get points taken off.

Two days late 10 points
Three days late - 15 point
After three days work will not be accepted and you will receive a zero.
What should you do if you have a conflict with another student?
Walk away from that student and let me or an adult know you are having a problem.
Do not engage in physical altercation.

What should you be doing if the teacher is working with a small group?
You should be working at your station. Do not disrupt other stations or the teacher. Work within your group.
What will the teacher do if he/she needs you to get quiet?
1. Say, :1,2,3, eyes on me.
2. Count down from 5.
3. Stand in front of room and count the seconds go by, which means that is how long you will stay after the bell.
When and how should you access the classroom library?
Turn in your work in the cubby, "Turn In" and where your class is marked. Pick up your work in from the other cubby, "Pick Up" marked where your class is at.
When and how should you access the classroom library?
In reading class you will have 10 minutes every day when you walk in, except for Friday when you will have a quiz. If you finish the quiz early then you will go into reading, but not allowed to walk around the room until everyone is finished. We will be going to the school library on Thursday mornings during reading class.

How should you treat classroom materials that are not yours?
With complete RESPECT. Example; if I see one snapped pencil we will go with the borrowing system. One can ruin it for all.
Only take one of what you need. Remember, someone paid for these supplies.

How should you respond if you hear the fire alarm?
When you hear the fire alarm. Get up immediatly, line up by the door. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR BELONGINGS. LEAVE THEM, EVEN YOUR PHONE WHICH SHOULD BE IN YOUR BACKPACK. LEAVE IT!
When teacher says, go, WALK to the exit door to the right. DO NOT TALK DURING THIS TIME IN CASE YOU NEED TO HEAR DIRECTIONS. Go out to the grass area and wait for instructions.

Stay in your seat and wait for the teacher to give direction.

If you don't turn in your work after three days of the assignment and do not discuss the assignment with me, you will get a zero. No make up work will be accepted after that.

What should you do if you need to use the bathroom?
You have a journal that teachers will log times you go to the restroom or leave the room for any reason. Your journal is your pass. I will also be implementing the five times per nine week punch card as well.
If you go more then 5 times in a nine week period and still need to go, you will serve a lunch detention. So use the passes responsibly.
You may use the restrooms during class switches, but DO NOT BE TARDY.
