What is radiation.

100

What is a producer? Give an example.

What is something that makes its own food.

100

Name the fronts and the weather it brings.

What is

A cold front happens when cold air pushes in and replaces warm air.
It usually brings quick weather changes like rain, thunderstorms, or cooler temperatures.

A warm front happens when warm air moves in and slides over cold air.
It usually brings light rain or drizzle, followed by warmer, nicer weather.

You push a ball and it starts rolling, but the grass causes it to slow down. What is this called?

What is friction.

200

Sara added 15 grams of ice to a cup. After the cup melts, how many grams are in the cup?

What is 15 grams.

200

What type of heat transfer comes from touch? Give an example.

What is conduction.

200

What type of organism breaks down dead things?

What is a decomposer.

200

Difference between Jet Stream and Gulf Stream.

What is

Jet Stream- a narrow, fast-moving air current that flows high above the Earth’s surface in the upper atmosphere.

It is driven by differences in temperature between the equator and the poles, and by the rotation of the Earth.

Gulf Stream- a powerful and warm ocean current that originates in the Gulf of Mexico and flows along the eastern coast of the United States before crossing the Atlantic Ocean towards Europe.

300

What happens when forces on an object are unbalanced?

What is the object will move or change direction

300

Melting ice is what type of change?

What is physical change.
300

What type of heat transfer comes from hot air rising and cold air sinking? Give an example.

What is convection.

300

What would happen if all plants died in an ecosystem?

What is the food chain would be disrupted.

300

Name the air pressures and the weather they bring.

High Pressure- Happy weather.

Low Pressure- Lousy weather.

400

Which surface causes the most friction: tile, carpet, or ice?

What is carpet.

400

What is force?

What is push or pull

400
