Scientific Method
The first part of the scientific method.
What is an observation?
Something that allows different amounts of light to enter the microscope.
What is Diaphragm?
The basic unit of an organism. This is where life starts.
What is a cell?
The basic metric unit used to measure length.
What is a meter?
The most basic unit of life.
What is matter?
The second part of the scientific method. Usually phrased as an "if" "then" statement.
What is a hypothesis?
The lens the viewer looks through to see the specimen. The eyepiece usually contains a 10X or 15X power lens.
A characteristic that causes a species to live on.
What is reproduction?
The basic metric unit used to measure wieght.
What is a gram?
The 2nd most basic unit of life.
What is an atom?
The third part of the scientific method. This is when you test your hypothesis.
What is the experiment?
It connects the body tube to the base of the microscope.
What is the arm of the microscope?
A characteristic where organisms respond to stimuli.
What is response?
The basic metric unit used to measure volume.
What is a liter?
The 3rd most basic unit of life.
What are molecules?
The fourth and fifth parts of the scientific method whereas you gather your data and conclude if your hypothesis was correct.
What is to analyze and conclude?
This brings the specimen into general focus.
What is the coarse adjustment?
A characteristic of life and the process of making a copy of something.
What is reproduction?
The basic metric unit used to measure temperature.
What is Celsius?
The 4th most basic unit of life.
What are cells?
The final part of the scientific method.
What is to retest?
A rotating turret that houses the objective lenses. The viewer spins the nosepiece to select different objective lenses.
What is the nosepiece of the microscope?
A lif characteristic. The tendency toward a relatively stable equilibrium between interdependent elements, especially as maintained by physiological processes.
What is Homeostasis?
The 2nd basic metric unit used to measure temperature.
What is fahrenheit?
The 5th most basic unit of life.
What are the tissues?
