I put a white flower in a vase with dark blue water. After a few days the flower turned blue! Explain the process that caused this.
The roots of the plant absorbed the dark blue water. After some time the stem of the plant carried the water up the plant. Because the flower is white, it was easily coloured by the dark blue water.
