This is our unit 1 topic.
What is Ecosystems?
These are Chadwick's Core Values.
What are respect, responsibility, honesty, fairness, and compassion?
This is the category that assess turning work in on time, collaborating, and following directions.
What is Skills of a Student?
This supply is required, and is where you write down your homework each day.
What is your planner?
This is our Unit 2 topic.
What is the earth's surface/geology?
This is the one drink you may bring to class.
What is water?
The grading category that this fact would fall under: "The ocean covers more than 70% of the earth's surface."
What is Science Literacy?
This is NEVER allowed when working on an experiment that involves food.
What is eating the lab supplies?
This is what we will be learning in Unit 3.
What is the human body? (Anatomy and Physiology)
These are the two things you should do if you are absent.
What is checking the calendar (Veracross/Google Classroom) AND talking to your teacher?
This category is worth 50% of the overall class grade, and focuses on skills such as making observations and collecting data.
What is Doing Science?
This is a good time to ask for help from a teacher.
What is Study Hall?
This is the culminating project of 6th grade Science (and something Mrs. Yamada-Hall will NEVER reveal until the end of the year).
What are the boat races?
If you are absent, this is the person responsible for figuring out what work you missed and reminding you to turn it in.
Who is YOU?
Instead of an overall grade, you will often see scores for these three categories on a project.
What are Skills of a Student, Doing Science, and Science Literacy?
This is a very helpful but very distracting daily supply. You put it in your drawer when you get to class.
What is your laptop?
This is the full, exact title of Unit 4.
What is "A Study of Design and Engineering?"
These are the 4 daily science supplies (be exact!).
What are your laptop, Science binder, 2 sharpened pencils, and planner?
Instead of focusing on grades, this is what we will be focusing on in science class.
What is progressing in the skills of being a scientist and a student. Or, what is developing strong studentship habits, growing in enduring scientific skills, and fostering a passion for learning about the world.
