What is hydroponics?
Hydroponics is a process with out soil.
Most of the seeds we started with had a mass of about 0.25 grams.
What is the role of a decomposer?
Decomposers RECYCLE energy from the soil.
What do the food chain and food webs BOTH show?
Food webs AND chains both shows the flow of energy
What is a water cycle?
The cycle of water.
What does hydro mean?
It means water.
What happened in the end of the project?
The mass of ONE plant, after 7 days, was between 2-4 grams.
What do decomposers do?
Decomposers breakdown dead organisms and energy in them to the sun.
They both also show which organism consume ________________.
They both also show which organism consume which organism.
What is a nitrogen cycle?
The cycle of nitrogen.
Why is hydroponics better than a plant with soil?
Because the ground it takes longer to get the water.
What do plants need to make for respiration & photosynthesis.
Plants used water, CO2, oxygen and sunlight for respiration & photosynthesis.
What is the balance of the decomposers in ecosystem?
Decomposers are responsible for the BALANCE of energy in an ecosystem.
What flow do both food chain and food web show?
They both show the direction of the flow of energy.
What is the carbon/fossil fuel cycle?
A cycle coating carbon.
What do hydroponics do?
The same thing that photosyhts but with out soil.
How is the process photosynthesis made?
The carbon dioxide from the air, through photosynthesis, is the source of all matter needed to change a small seedling into a huge tree. The energy for life is derived from the sun.
What is the scientific word for spcaltiy?
Niche.
How many flows do food chains show?
Food chains only SHOW ONE DIRECTION OF THE FLOW.
What does the carbon/oxygen cycle show?
Carbon/oxygen.
Hydroponics is a process with out soil.
What is hydroponics?
In other words-The mass of a plant is primarily carbon. The carbon comes from carbon dioxide used during photosynthesis. During photosynthesis, plants convert the sun’s energy into chemical energy which is captured within the bonds of carbon molecules built from atmospheric carbon dioxide and water.
What is plants mass made of?
Niche=role=job
What is a niche?
In contrast, food webs show multiple directions of energy flow.
How many flows does a food web have?
They keep going and going.
What do all of these cycles have in common?
