What is shock and how do you treat it?
When someone is injured it may shock their body which may cause the circulatory system to not provide enough blood. Staying with the victim and reassuring them with a calm voice as well as keeping them warm will help. Also you can lie them down and raise their feet as long as you don't suspect back neck head or leg fractures/injures. Call for help and treat injures

Be Prepared!
What are the steps for treating a unconscious person
1 Check for anything that may have caused it and for any threats. Ex. containers of chemicals or drugs, downed power lines, ect use common sense do not create another victim.
2 check if they are responsive by asking if they are all right in a loud voice and shaking the shoulder
3 If they are not responsive delegate a specific person to call 911 and check for breathing and heart beat by listening/ looking at chest for breathing and putting 2 fingers on the back of the wrist or on the neck for pulse
4 If there are no signs of life send a specific person to go get a AED and start CPR by pressing hard and fast on the center of the chest. Get someone to play the song staying alive to keep pace with the beat and also see if anyone else knows CPR so you can switch off. keep going until they either come back, a AED is ready or Professionals arrive.
