SCENARIO: You are working with Dr. Wells on a VERY busy shift. You prompt her for a physical exam but she abruptly says "not now." What do you do?
MULTIPLE RIGHT ANSWERS! Some options...
-Reassure the provider by saying "no rush," "take your time," "no worries."
-Ask again when there is more down time
-Note on your patient tracker what information you need...re-prompt the provider when the patient is dispo'd (this is a GREAT TIME to catch up on that patient information (labs, MDM/differential, etc.)
-Save it for the end of the shift prior to leaving (discouraged)
It's the end of your shift and you bring your computer to the attending hub. What do you do from there?
