What does I-SPY:VI stand for?
What are the visits for SENSE & what happens at each?
Initial Visit (ADOS, WASI)
Baseline EEG (happens within 3 weeks before intervention begins; CASS, NEPSY, EEG, questionnaires for child & parent ~ including CDI for child!)
10 weeks of intervention (Tackling Teenage or SENSE Theater)
Endpoint EEG (happens within 3 weeks after intervention ends; CASS, NEPSY, EEG, questionnaires for child & parent ~ including CDI for child!)
Follow-Up EEG (happens 8-10 weeks after intervention ends; CASS, NEPSY, EEG, questionnaires for child & parent ~ including CDI for child!)
What does participation in PICSI entail?
Biweekly parent and child questionnaires (entirely online) for 12 weeks (June-December): Baseline, Surveys 1-5, Midpoint, Surveys 6-9, Endpoint.
Just completed 3-Month Follow-Up parent and child questionnaires (March/April). Will have 6-Month Follow-Up parent and child questionnaires ~June and 9-Month Follow-Up parent and child questionnaires ~September.
What are the visits for PRITA & what happens at each?
Initial Visit (if needed!; ADOS & KBIT)
Baseline Visit (now administered entirely online!; child questionnaires before intervention ~ "pre-test," roughly 45 minute intervention module on laptop, child questionnaires after intervention ~ "post-test," parent questionnaires)
Follow-Up Visit (now administered entirely online!; child questionnaires, parent questionnaires)
What is the age range & diagnostic criteria for I-SPY?
Ages 11-17; Does not need to meet diagnostic criteria for ASD (two groups: ASD & TD).
What is the age range & diagnostic criteria for SENSE?
Ages 10-16; Must meet diagnostic criteria for ASD.
What is the age range & diagnostic criteria for PICSI?
Ages 8-17; Does not need to meet diagnostic criteria for ASD, but MUST HAVE previously participated in another study at the SCTL.
What is the age range & diagnostic criteria for PRITA?
Ages 11-16; Must meet diagnostic criteria for ASD.
What is the compensation for I-SPY? Does the family receive a report?
$75.00 or $100.00 Amazon.com gift card; Family does receive a clinical report.
What is the compensation for SENSE? Does the family receive a report?
There is no compensation for SENSE; Family receives a brief clinical report.
What is the compensation for PICSI? Does the family receive a report?
$5.00 Amazon.com gift card for each full set of parent and child questionnaires completed, so up to $60.00 in Amazon.com gift cards can be earned for completing the study. Additionally, there is a $1.00 Amazon.com gift card BONUS at the end for each fully completed set of parent and child surveys, up to a $10.00 bonus in Amazon.com gift cards. So, families can be compensated up to $70.00 in Amazon.com gift cards; Family does NOT receive a clinical report.

SENSE Theater involves pairing up participants with high school age "peers" or "buddies"!
When does PICSI end?
Enrollment for new participants has ended, but Follow-Ups continue (3-Month is done, but still have 6-Month and 9-Month Follow-Ups left!).
What does PRITA aim to target?
Internalizing symptoms (depression, anxiety).
