In the event that a student will need to be picked up from a field-trip location and not return in the manner that they arrived....The parent must....

provide a written request to the principal three school days before the date of the fieldtrip.

Provide a valid photo identification. 

Person picking up must be at least 18 years of age and named on the emergency release list on the student’s emergency card. (call the school office to verify)

Homework for elementary (K-5) students should be approximately 10 minutes per grade level;

Consider how to maintain an equitable environment among your students within your classroom and.....

Having parties is up to individual teachers. If parties are held, food is required to be in accordance with NHUSD healthy food guidelines.

Items that are not in accordance with healthy food guidelines will not be delivered to the classroom.

What do we do if a child has lice?

If student is found with active, adult head lice, they shall be allowed to stay in school until the end of the school day. 

Head lice infestations among students require treatment, but do not pose a risk of transmitting disease.  Detection and treatment should minimize education program disruptions and absences.
