Answer: they asked why wasn’t an angel sent down as a prophet and messenger and why does the prophet(SAW) eat food and walk in the markets like normal people . But if an angel was sent as a prophet the muslims wouldn’t understand anything as an angel doesn’t sleep , eat or drink … and bcoz of that we wouldn’t know how to sleep, eat and drink (manners or what is haram or halal). And if Allah did send angels as messengers ,the disbelievers would have been justified in asking ,"how can we imitate supernatural beings"?
