By being assertive you can ensure you are communicating your needs effectively and will be heard by your employer. Being passive may not get you the exact results you want and being aggressive with an employer could have negative results.

Define the term "Undue Hardship"
An undue hardship is a request made by an individual that may be too costly, time consuming, or impact work function that an employer is allowed to deny.
We learned about several strategies that can help if you feel your becoming overwhelmed. Name 2 of those strategies
-pretend to push the wall to make the room feel bigger

There are certain topics (like sports, politics, religion, ect.) that get people very excited, however some people become very angry when you don't have the same opinion as them because they were so passionate about the issue. Given this agree to disagree is the best course of action
When is being aggressive appropriate at work?

How common is FASD?
FASD is fairly common, about 1 in 20 children in the U.S are born with FASD

What is the difference between FAS (fetal alcohol syndrome) and FASD (fetal alcohol spectrum disorder)?
FAS is a more serve form of FASD. FASD symptoms fall more on a spectrum and can range from severe to mild in impact on daily life functions.
When might someone use the "walk-away" compromise?
When you notice an employer (or yourself) is becoming incredibly frustrated or angry with the state of your conversation and you believe there is no way to approach a friendly conversation.

-speaking clearly so there's no misconceptions
-making eye contact and having good posture
-ensuring your tone is professional and intentional
