What are the various colors of totes and what do they represent?

There is gray (grey), black, blue and red. Gray is a standard order, black is expedited (overnight), red totes are noon to noon and blue is past due.

That the customer paid for their material to be cut before anything else.

Will you always see orders in their totes?

No, larger orders will be placed on a cart, or be in shipping crates or pallets that are moved around with a forklift.

What is the insturment that we use, located at most stations, to measure the materials?

We use a caliper to measure the thickness as well as the internal and external dimensions of the material. The mouth measures the thickness of the material.
