It kind of hurt my eyes to look at, but I couldn't help but stare at its majestic decline from the sky towards the bottom of the ocean. Rich in its colors.. orange, red, yellow.

A Sunset

It tasted like a warm hug in a bowl. The seafood melted in my mouth and the saltine crackers that were initially crunchy softened up in the creamy base turned into a chewy, soft texture.

Clam Chowder

I cracked it open to peel and it automatically began to fill the room with an unfortunate scent. I had to tell others, "I promise I did not toot!"

An egg

I gave it a gentle pat. Its soft texture calmed me.

I woke up in panic as the sound blared from the electronic device. BEEEEP BEEEEP BEEEEP. Time to get ready.

Alarm clock/Alarm

The giant green trees, the moist dirt under my feet, the eerie silence. I felt so alone here but also so peaceful.

At first they were sour. The taste almost hurt my tongue. After a couple of minutes, they were sweet and I was finally able to chew it without wincing although it continuously stuck on my molars.

Sour Patch Kids/Jelly Candy

I took a deep breath in of the smell of nature's tears on the soil and grass. It smelled fresh and slightly thick due to the humidity but it calmed me as I remembered the beauty of the clouds.

Rain

As I walked barefoot, I felt the soft strands graze the bottom of my feet. At times, it felt as if I had stepped on something hard and other times, it felt kind of ticklish.. but it made me feel one with nature.

The sound of the trombones, trumpets, saxophones, french horn meshed so smoothly together during this music performance.

Jazz Music

How could something that was calm and serene turn into something so large and powerful by the effects of the wind? The once blue calmness turned into a rush of multiple up and down movements, making its way to the shore.

Waves

I took a bite and it was juicy, tender, warm and not straining to my jaw. It melted in my mouth like a snowball would in a glass of warm water.

The alleyway was rancid and putrid as I walked past it. The smell was unable to be masked and I had to pick up my speed to get to an area of fresh, clean air.

Trash/Garbage

The deep pressure from my loved one was comforting as they wrapped their arms around me and squeezed me just the right amount.

A Hug

Danger was on the way! Wee-oo wee-oo! The sound was getting closer and closer. As it zoomed past me, the sound slowly started to fade and I began to feel calmer.

A firetruck/ambulance

The scene was alerting. There was red everywhere and all I could really make out was black fog and smoke rushing through the sky.

A fire

I took a bite and it was so fluffy! I could taste the tanginess but also the sweetness of it with the whipped cream on top! The exterior was crisp and crunchy while the middle was soft and yummy.

I walked into the kitchen and smelled my childhood. The scent flooded out from the house and filled the street. It was a clean, slightly sweet, yeasty aroma that somehow smelled warm, like you were inhaling a blanket on a cold winter day.

Cookies/Bread

They told me not to touch it but I was curious to see how spiky something could actually be while also looking so squishy and green. One gentle tap and ow!

A cactus

I was sitting on the porch in my home in Seattle with a cup of warm chamomile tea in hand. The sound of nature around me calmed me as I read my book and drank my tea.
