What do you do when a charge type is amended?
EX.
case disposition adjudication withheld is later amended to dismissed
change the charge type field and add amendment statement in comments;
original - adjudication withheld (IN COMMENTS)
final - dismissed (IN DISPO FIELD)
Do you report "Submit to search and seizure/fourth amendment rights" in conditions of probation?
No, this is not a reportable condition of probation
Which disposition do you enter into the field ?
Final unless requested otherwise by client

an Original case is the first case the charge was filed in.
A final case is the case number where the court determines the outcome of the criminal charge
In other words the original case is the case with disposition of transferred and the final case is the case it was transferred to
Do you pursue incomplete questionable sentencing info?
ex. community service for 90 years

If an amendment to charge or charge type happened before a disposition happened do you report it?
How would you report the following condition of probation:
Stay 100 yards away from Melisa Anderson
Report to probation officer 24 hours after release

When would you report the original SENTENCING for an amended disposition?
When you are required to report original sentencing in the disposition field
or When requested by client
If a client request a transferred case what do you report?
you would report both the original and final case
Do you pursue financial amounts?
No just mark as unspecified
What do you do if the original charge information is not available for an amended case ?
EX. missing charge type/ charge description
Do not report any original charge info, just report the final
If defendant failed to comply with sentencing conditions do you report this?
Only if there was a change in sentencing
Which disposition date do you use in disposition field:
count 1: adjudication withheld -12/03/1999
amended to dismissed 02/23/2000
count 2: guilty - 12/03/1999
12/03/1999 because this is the earliest conviction date
If there’s more than one count, you basically have to determine which count received the most severe final disposition.
In this case count 2 because its a conviction
What do you do if you have a reportable original case and a non-reportable final case ?
Do not report either,
unless there was a count on the original case that was not transferred
Search should be sent to call queue if they are what type of search ?

If you have multiple counts and there is no clear disposition for the counts but a conviction did occur (you see "judgement of conviction" in dockets) what do you do?
Enter disposition as OTHER and note in comments "count unspecified" with sentencing; do this for all counts without disposition available
How would you report the following sentencing:
Serve 12 days jail less credit for custody of 6 days actual time and 3 days good/work time
Don't do the math
Enter jail time in grid and "credit for custody of 6 days actual time and 3 days good/work time" in comments
if there is a total at the end of credit time served you can enter total in grid. ex " ... total credit time in custody 9 days" In this instance they only gave the break down of that time.
If you have different disposition dates from count to count which one do you use?
Use the earliest conviction date as your disposition date and note all other dispositions in their corresponding comments field
If a case is transferred to another case and that case is not provided do you pursue ?
Yes and provide that case if it is reportable.
If a case is pending with no warrant do you pursue disposition
If the case is under 1 year do not pursue disposition;
report as pending with "no further information available"
