When a client already had a Medicare Advantage plan before or by 1/1/23
When can you use 5 star SEP?
Can be used once a year to change to a 5 star plan either from a less than 5 star plan or another 5 star plan
When can you use ICEP?
3 months before Part B effective date when Part B was deferred. Must start same time as Part B
What time frame is LIS Q1 (Maintaining)?
January 1st- March 31st
What is FEMA SEP and how can it be used?
FEMA SEP is a special enrollment period grated due to natural disaster or unrest, and it can only be used if another enrollment period was missed during the incident period
What is OEP New and when can it be used?
OEP New is when a client enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan during IEP/ICEP and they want to switch their plan the month of A/B, or B only eff date and 2 months after that month
Can you change to a five star plan from just A+B, or A+B and a PDP?
YES

When the plan has not gone into effect yet

No, but the SEP End date is determined as 2 months post the FEMA incident period ends.
What is the timeframe to use OEP and can it be used more than once?
OEP can be used between January 1st - March 31st, and it can be used more than once as long as the plan has not gone into effect yet
Can someone move from a supplement to a 5 star plan?
Yes, but they will still have to cancel their supplement
What is IEP 2 and when can it be used?
IEP2 happens for those who qualified for Medicare prior to turning 65. It happens the 3-1-3 of their 65th birthday
