The Famer and His Sons
We dug for gold and found none.
Yet our hard work made us rich.
Where did our treasure grow?
In the vineyard/field (the harvest)
I snapped at a prize that wasn’t there
and lost the prize I had.
Who fooled me?
His reflection/shadow
Eyes that see at night,
ears that prefer quiet.
How did I end the concert?
By outsmarting the grasshopper (clever invitation)
We argued as brothers until the earth taught us to agree.
What grew heavy after we stopped fighting?
Pebbles/stones
I look like you, but I’m not you. What am I?
A reflection
I solve noise with calm and cunning,
not shouting.
Who am I?
The owl
