A cook or a chef.
This is the number that you call in case of an emergency (and only when it's an emergency).

Should I use words like "cool" or "awesome" on a resume?
No! These words are not good for a resume, even if you are awesome at doing certain things. Try using words like "great" and "professional."
Do you know your full name, including your middle name(s)?
You should! You will need this information one day for a job or other important meetings.
What are your plans for the weekend?
Don't forget that Monday is a student holiday!
What is the job title for someone who cleans dishes in a restaurant kitchen?
A dishwasher (same name as the machine).
This person helps put out fires that are dangerous to other people and property.
A firefighter.
Do I need to put my name, address, and telephone number on a resume?
Yes! You do this so that people know who you are and how to get in touch with you.
Do you know where your social security card and birth certificate is at?
You should! You can let your family hang onto them-you don't want to carry them in your wallet or purse. But ask them if they have them because you may need them for things like healthcare or getting a passport.
Have you ever eaten sushi? If so, what kind and did you like it?
You can actually make it at home and add what you like!

What is the job title for someone who brings customers their food and takes their orders?
Bonus: name something else that they do!
A server or waitress/waiter.
This person's job is to respond if something illegal has happened. They are there to help.
A police officer.
Should I list who my friends are on a resume?
No! It's great to have friends. But you don't want to list hem on your resume or use them as references.
Do you know your full address and zip code?
You should! If not, practice! If you move, learn the new one-always!
Do you like seeing movies on your tv at home or in a movie theater?
There are actually some Marvel movies and TV shows scheduled to come out this year!

A table busser. Bus boy is not a good name to use. People doing this job are usually at least 16 years old and can be women too!
This person rides on an ambulance and helps people with medical emergencies.
An EMT or paramedic/medic.
Can I list more than one school on my resume?
Yes! Most of you have graduated from other schools and then gotten special training at Pulley Career Center.
Do you have a personal email account (i.e. not our fcpsschools.net account)?
You should probably get one if not. You will eventually need one as the fcpsschools.net email accounts only get mail from school employees and get deleted when you graduate. Make sure you talk to your family first before starting a new email though.
Have you ever built anything from wood using tools? Our building and trades team does this!
When we use the word "commercial" to describe a piece of equipment or appliance, what does that mean?
It means that it was designed for a business and made to last a long time (e.g. commercial dryer, commercial dishwasher, commercial mixer, etc.).
Most of these jobs are with the local government! That means that their salaries are paid from what?
Taxes that you and your family pay!
Sale taxes, property taxes, federal and state income taxes.
Should I have an electronic copy of my resume?
Yes! Every Pulley student has or will have a resume. Ask for it and then keep a copy on a flash drive or saved to your computer.
Can I give out personal information over the telephone to a stranger who called me like my social security number?
NO! Never do this. Some people may try to use your personal information to buy things in your name which is stealing! Always check with your family first before giving personal information out over the phone or through email!
If you were going to make up your own topic for the topic of the day club after school, what would it be?
Could be anything! Tell one of your staff to share it with the team if you have an idea that you like!
