An attendee can't do this in an SI Session, but the SI Leader can work on similar problems during the session.

An attendee must have this before they can participate in an online SI Session.

The SI Leader will do this to make sure the attendees are getting the information.
What is Check for Understanding
This activity has the student ponder the question alone, connect with a buddy to work on it and then come back to the large group to discuss their findings with the group.
What is Think Pair Share
The SI Leader will send the number of attendees after a session through this online portal
What is complete an SI Session Attendance form.
The instructor asks the SI Leader to help them do this because they are behind on getting the scores back to the class.
The SI Supervisor will have this happen automatically when the SI Session starts so an observation can be done later.
What is Record?
The SI Leader will do this after an attendee asks a question.
What is Wait Time 2?
Students receive difficult concepts to work on alone or in pairs to complete step 1. The concept is passed to the right for another group to complete step 2. This activity works best with Math or Chemistry.
What is Send a Problem?
The SI Leader will do this for 15 minutes each week to two different RVC employees for a total of 30 minutes.
What is meet with the SI Supervisor and the Instructor of the SI targeted class
An attendee doesn't have time to learn the materials and just wants the SI Leader to give them this for the assignment.
What are the Answers?
This is a great way for attendees to see a worksheet or diagram on the SI Leader's computer.
What is Screen Share?
The SI Leader will ask session attendee #2 if they could find the answer to attendee #1's question.
What is Redirecting?
Put students in groups of 2 or 3. Each group will write one or more questions on the board they think the instructor will ask on a test. Students will learn how to think like the instructor.
What is Predict Test Questions?
This should be submitted at least 24 hours before the start of an SI Session.
What is Submit an Online Session Plan?
The SI Supervisor is observing a session and an attendee is talking over the others. The SI Leader is tempted to do this.
This is a great tool for attendees to mark on the screen or draw a concept that is difficult for them to understand for everyone in the session to see.

This is the length of time a session should be.
What is 50 minutes?
This activity is divided into four parts: Prerequisite Knowledge, Mathematical Steps, Narrative of the steps and Additional Sample Problem.
What is the Board Work Model?
The SI Leader should do this if the instructor of their SI Class attends one of their sessions.
What is let the SI Supervisor know right away?
The SI Leader should not do this if an attendee starts yelling and getting angry when they are not getting the answers.
What is get angry and yell back at the attendee?
The SI Leader and session attendees use this tool to draw, spot light, highlight difficult problems and type on the White Board.
