Politely explain that as an SI leader, you are not allowed to help in grading assignments. Redirect them to Cameron if they have any further questions about SI leader responsibilities.
When should you use wait times? How are they used?
After every question, give a pause of about 15 sec to give students time to process and answer your question. Then, give them an additional 15 sec to see if another student builds on the previous answer.
True or false: Learning strategies and CLTs are exclusive.
False! Learning strategies can be used in conjunction with CLTs.

We discourage professors from attending SI sessions with their students. However, if they would like to see what an SI session is like, you can direct them to Cameron to find a session they can observe.
What is a redirecting question vs a check for understanding question?
A redirecting question should push the students towards the correct answer, but a check for understanding question simply tests whether they understand the concept.
