I totally understand the sorority stereotypes in movies/tv, but Panhellenic at CSULB prioritizes philanthropy, building connections with other sororities, and growing as women!

What is the initiation fee and why do we have to pay it?
The initiation fee is paid to nationals for a lifetime subscription to the Sigma Kappa Triangle and life membership in Sigma Kappa. Portions of this also goes into the national convention fund and operating expenses fund
What do you do if a PNM is sobbing after the philanthropy presentation on Day 3?
Validate her feelings, tell her to take her time and she can talk about it if she'd like, offer her water and tissues, and do a temp check before moving on
What's the difference between a Panhellenic sorority and a Multicultural organization?
Panhellenic sororities are social sororities that focus on sisterhood and social connection as opposed to multicultural organizations that are primarily bonded by shared culture and traditions.

What is SIP-ing and why are PNM's advised against this?
Single Intention Preference is when a PNM only puts their first choice sorority instead of ranking their first and then second.
They are advised against this because if they do not end up on the bid list of their first choice sorority, they are not invited to bid day and wait one year before they are eligible to go through recruitment again.
What is the parlor fee?
This fee is used for care and maintenance of the property and furnishings in the chapter house. It is currently used to fund storage, and added to our housing fund for when we get our forever home!
