In Hebrew the name Abram means "exalted father," and Abrham means "father of a multitude." The name Sarah means "princess." The Lord giving new names to Abraham and Sarah can represent their transformation and gods covenant with them. President Russell M. Nelson taught, "The bestowal of those new names marked the beginning of a new life and a new destiny for this family."
