I pledge my loyalty to Lambda Xi,

We stand in unity, never alone, this
is every sister’s right.
We represent friendship, loyalty,

What is our purpose?
The sisters of Lambda Xi have a purpose to promote friendship and sisterhood. We wish to provide help and service to the community and the campus of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. We strive to bring individuality in all of our members while having fun in the process.
What is our academic policy?
Every member must maintain a 2.5 cumulative grade point average. If a member drops below this standard, she will be unable to hold office. If she does not achieve a 2.5 or better within the next semester, she must go inactive until further notification.

What is our history?
Lambda Xi –a social sorority-was founded in the spring semester of 1991 on the 25th of January. We formed in order to promote friendship, loyalty, and trust and to provide a new choice. We are dedicated to serving the many communities we represent. Lambda Xi is interested in not only what each sister can give, but also what we can collectively give back to each other.

What is our symbolism?
The colors and symbols chosen to represent Lambda Xi and our sisterhood each illustrate the individuality of each sister and at the same time describe the unity created by Lambda Xi. Purple is the main color, which signifies royalty. It is found in the three large petals of the Iris, which represent faith, wisdom, and valor. White is most prevalent in the guardian angel, indicating the honesty expressed by each sister along with the inspiration and the protection established by the sisterhood. The sisters of Lambda Xi use the color gold as a symbol illustrated by the infinity rope-both represent external strength and courage. The crown is a mark of distinction and achievement. We are proud of our symbols, colors, and all that Lambda Xi represents. We will continue to be distinct in all that we do so that we may leave our mark in the hearts of all our sisters-past and present-and of those around us.
