This is the minimum number of site visits per student in one semester.

Site visitors should complete visit reports in Typhon within this many business days after the visit

Site visitors should review and provide feedback on student SOAP notes and journals within this timeframe.
What is within one week after the due date?
One of these two requirements must be met to obtain approval for an overnight hotel stay in conjunction with a site visit.
What are more than a 2-hour drive or visiting two students in the same area?
Site visitors can begin making visits during this week of the first clinical block.

The student should take this step if they will be seeing a patient who has a chief complaint suggestive of a topic that has not been covered in class.

Site visitors should take this action if the student reaches out to them for additional coaching.
What is to meet with the student to provide additional support?
The site visitor should check Typhon for documentation of the student reviewing the site visit report after this many days.
What is five to ten business days?
Site visitors should provide this type of feedback on SOAP notes by commenting on at least two sections, addressing clarity, completeness, critical thinking, and offering improvement suggestions.
What is meaningful feedback?
Before a site visitor can drive a College of Nursing vehicle, they must provide these two items.
What are NM Driver’s License and Defensive driving certificate?
During the final semester of clinical courses, phone or email contact with preceptors is acceptable unless one of these two conditions is present.
