Vaccination clinic is located in the Renaissance Room in the student center. Students can also make an appointment at the Student Health Center.

Private study-rooms, group-study sessions, and specific tutoring for PLB 115 and Math 101.

Yes, the Southern Illinois Center for Independent Living recruits and maintains lists of prospective personal assistants for students who require assistance with activities of daily living.

How does a student who requires assistance with daily living activities get a personal assistant?

Students are responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, paying and replacing PA's, but DRS may pay for the services of PA's. You can contact the Southern Illinois Center for Independent Living for more information on PA's.

What happens when/if you test positive

You receive a call from the Jackson County health department and from SIU. You can either go into isolation at the Wall and Grand Apartments or you can go isolate at home.

How many times a week can you go to the  tutoring center?

Once a week per course. So if you are going for two classes, you go twice.

What happens when you sign up

The students who sign up receive a mentor who they will meet with the student bi-weekly

What is an ESA and can I be processed for approval of an ESA though DSS?

An ESA is an emotional support animal that offers some type of benefit to an individual with a disability. DSS does process ESA's for individuals with disabilities, but a form would have to be processed through the DSS website in order to begin to process for approval.

What happens if my suitemate tests positive. 

You must self quarantine for 10 days. Meals will be delivered two times a day, at 11:30 or 5:30

Provides support services to students with disabilities and works closely with faculty and staff in an advisory capacity providing disability education awareness around ensuring equal access within courses, physical structures, and in the online environment.
