"Standard met" or above level
Must a student receive the required grade or higher in both semesters of single course?
Yes. The intent is that the student demonstrate a mastery of the subject during BOTH semesters, not just a portion of the curriculum for that subject.
What grade do you need to get in a single course?
B+ or above.
What is the overall GPA you need to have after completing all English language arts requirements?
3.0 in those classes
When do you take your CAASPP?
Your Junior year in May.

A score of 4 or higher.
Can the State Seal of Biliteracy (SSB) be awarded prior to grade 12?
Yes. If a student meets all the requirements in EC Section 51461 prior to grade 12, the SSB may be awarded to that student as soon as the requirements are met.
What are at least 4 subject areas that students need to demonstrate mastery to obtain the Golden State Seal Merit Diploma?
English, Math, Science, U.S. History, plus two additional subject areas.
