These are two things students must do before leaving the classroom and enter the hallway.

The amount of time students write in their journals.
What is 5 minutes?
The number of bells that ring during a period change.
What is 3?
This is the condition the classroom should be left in at the end of a class period.
What is The same condition as it was at the start.
The number of students talking when the teacher is in front of the class.
What is 0?
As a whole class, students can volunteer to do this after writing for 5 minutes.
What is share their journal?
The second to last bell during a period change warns us that we only have this amount of time left.
This will happen if we count down the seconds until the bell at the end of class.
