Script on part 4 under Audible Tone Issue, “We reviewed the issue you reported in which the Snapshot device is beeping when your vehicle is not decreasing in speed. The device is detecting what might be a potential problem with the alternator in your vehicle, though we can’t say with certainty because the problem is unrelated to the Snapshot device. You might want to have a mechanic look at it. Please know that we do not record hard brake events when the device beeps without deceleration, so the issue does not affect any Snapshot discount calculation.”
