Verb tense used to express current actions and habits.
PRESENT SIMPLE
A, an, the. What are these and how do we use them?
A, an = indefinite articiles (singular). A for words following with a consonant, and an for words following with a vowel.
The = definite article (singular) for both cases.
Transform this sentence intro present continous:
I make pancakes.
I am making pancakes.
Some, any. Give an example.
There are some apples.
Is there any ice at home?
Why do we use present perfect?
Past event, present consequence.
Give 3 examples of plural (irregular nouns) and singular nouns.
Cat - Cats, Plane - planes, Tree - Trees. Woman - Women, Child - Children, Teeth - Tooth.
What tense do we use if we wish to express an action that started in the past and its still going?
PRESENT PERFECT CONTINOUS - give an example
Modal verbs. What are they? In which situations can we use them?
Modal verbs: They indicate modality. Used in different situations: Ability, logical conclussion, possibility, obligation, permission, etc.
Past perfect and past simple, explain it's differences and give examples.
Past simple = an action was started and finished.
Past perfect = 2 actions that were separetedly completed.
Give an example of 3rd conditional using the word landlord.
