What is FACULTY?
A financial award given to students to help pay for their education. This is FREE MONEY you don't have to pay back.
What is A SCHOLARSHIP?
A specific area of study that a student chooses to focus on in college.

Removing a course from your schedule. A W will appear on your transcript in place of a grade

What is TUITION?
A record of a student's academic history at college. Contains courses, grades and academic achievements achievements
What is a TRANSCRIPT?
A period at the beginning of the semester when you can add or drop a class and it won't be placed on your transcript.
What is ADD/DROP?
A form of student employment limited to part-time, funded by the federal government, providing financial assistance through student employment
What is WORK STUDY?
This person supports student progress and success but does not hold academic power. Can see them to change your major
What is a SUCCESS COACH?
Money borrowed to pay for college which needs to be paid back with interest.
What is a STUDENT LOAN?
A course that must be taken before enrolling in another.
What is a PREREQUISITE?
Times when students can meet with their professor to discuss course material.
What is OFFICE HOURS?
A number that indicates how high you scored in your courses on average.
What is GPA?
A person in a professional position at a college who guide students through your academic journey

A software application that allows students and teachers to access and manage online learning materials
What is the LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM?
A secondary area of study that students pursue in addition to their major.

A publication that lists the courses, policies and requirements for a college.
What is a CATALOG?
A school administrator who manages a college student's records. Responsible for monitoring degree requirements.
What is the REGISTRAR?
A form of financial aid awarded to students, based on need, that doesn't need to be repaid unless the student withdraws from school
What is a GRANT?
A schedule of important dates and events that take place during the year
What is the ACADEMIC CALENDAR?
A student enrolled in less than 12 credit hours in school
