doing nice things for others that makes them feel cared for (or other example of showing kindness)

Facial expression (smiling, laughing), body language, tone of voice, words they say

My words and actions have the ability to affect how others view themselves, their mood/emotions, and how they choose to act around me

Cared for, loved, happy, ect...
How can you tell if someone is feeling upset?
Facial expression, body language, tone of voice, what they say to you
What is one way to include someone who is feeling left out?
Ask them to join in (game, lunch, ect...), be friendly and talk with them (or other example)
How can you show appreciation to your friends or family?
Tell them thank you and and that you appreciate them, write them a letter, do something kind for them, ect...
What can you say or do to make someone feel better?
Is there anything I can do to help you (hug, talk, give them space, help with a task)? Let them decide and be ready to give them space if that is what they need.
What do you do if someone is being treated unfairly?
Stand up for them when possible, ask them how they are doing, talk with them and show them you care, ask an adult for help when necessary
How can you show respect to others?
Listen when they talk with you, acknowledge their opinions even if different from your own, be mindful of your words and actions with them, apologize when necessary, show empathy
Why would having social awareness be important?
It helps us understand and relate to others, which leads to better communication and stronger relationships.
