The baby cries when hungry, the caregiver gives them food and baby learns that if they cry they get food

Parent-teacher or religion and family interactions
What is the mesosystem?
Children are only allowed to watch 30 minutes of tv everyday and only eat ice cream every other day
What is authoritative?
Peaking between 8-18 months, the baby feel anxious when the primary caregiver leaves
What is separation anxiety?
An old person reflects on their life and feels satisfied with what they lived through despite some ups and downs
What is integrity and despair?
Bob is in highschool and isn't deciding anything about his future or exploring options and always saying “I don’t know” when asked

Fred has to play piano everyday for 5 hours and if he makes a mistake while playing he has to play for an extra 30 minutes

Ginny does not feel distressed when her caregiver leaves the room, and when they return she does not seek contact with them but ignores them
What is avoidant attachment?
Someone working a corporate job that they aren’t passionate about, feel like their life lacks meaning
What is generativity and stagnation?
Travis decides to become a doctor because both of his parents are one without exploring other options

Political climate and religious or ideological beliefs
What is the macrosystem?
Children with high-self esteem, self-reliance and self-regulation
What is authoritative?
George is very clingy with his caregiver, when they leave he cries all the time and is hard to soothe after they return
What is anxious attachment?
Farquaad can’t find a special interest, and is pressured to pursue what his parents want, he feels lost and unsure
What is identity and role confusion?
Peppa tries out different types of classes in high school to find new interests and a possible career

Environmental events and changes that impact the individual

Children grow up to not know what they want and it often leads to anxiety and depression
