True or false?
Your mindset effects your body's physical health? (For full points you must give an explanation, your answer should be longer than the question 😆)
True, there is significant evidence of the mind having a physiological impact on the body, as shown by the field of psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) and studies on the mind-body connection. Mental states like stress or positive thinking can trigger hormones and alter neurotransmitters, affecting the immune system, cardiovascular function, pain perception, and metabolism, with brain structures showing literal linkages between areas controlling thought, movement, and bodily functions.

Teacher and a staff are speaking to each other from across the room, a student walks in between them and faces the teacher for his attention. Is this an appropriate action yes or no? Explain why or why not.
Not appropriate, because by blocking line of sight between the adults, you are essentially saying whatever you two are talking about is far less important than what is on my mind right now.
Remember, one example of maturity is thinking of others and their feelings while immaturity says me first and ignores others.

When you grab binder paper, (not journal paper), which side should the holes face?
What rule was broken in this scenario?
Student 1 goes to a staff member at the beginning of class and asks for a break, staff reminds them of the "first 20-last 10" rule." Student didn't get the answer they wanted so they go to the teacher and asks for a break.
What is this called and why is it a rule?
Splitting staff is against the rule because it is a form of manipulation, a disrespect of authority, and self centered; "my wants over the rules."
List the pros and cons of over-swearing?
*Pros: an intense word or phrase can match an intense feeling (emotional release), research shows that swearing can increase physical strength and pain tolerance by activating a psychological mechanism, rather than the fight-or-flight response, and humor when well placed and well timed.
*Cons: gives the appearance of a small vocabulary, not enough self control to know when you should or shouldn't swear, it comes across as aggressive/hostile/confrontational, you seem less approachable/angry/unreasonable, when someone swears at you it is, most of the time, received as disrespect.
I challenge you to name benefits (if any) to being negative.
Sometimes Lanson receives your work and doesn't always understand what is on the page. How can we address that?

True or false?

A theme of statements I hear occasionally in here is "They made me do ______ because they ________." However, the truth is really what?
Your words are your own, and they reflect you, not the person who "made" you react. Their words and actions define them, and yours define you. You get to decide who that person will be. Who do you want to be?
