Why is it important to look at the "big picture" when interpreting someone's body language?

Because only 1/4 of the body language components may mislead you to jump to conclusions. For example, someone may be standing with their hands on their hips, which alone may seem like an angry stance, but they may have a smile on their face and have relaxed posture.
