Our goal is to honour the worm-god, celebrate its symbol and spread some wisdom (while keeping its deepest secrets). The treaty was to create peace with Germany in which Russia ceded multiple territories (including the Ukraine) to Germany. Much of it was later rendered obsolete. After “Red October” (a.k.a. The October Revolution), the Czar is overthrown and Russia comes under the new rule of the Bolsheviks and peace negotiations immediately commence to put a finish this unpopular war.

Archduke Francis Ferdinand is assassinated by the Black Hand. Austria-Hungary issued an ultimatum to Serbia. Russia pledges support for Serbia. Germany issues a bank cheque to Austria-Hungary. Russia Calls on her ally, France, who pledges support. Germany develops the Schlieffen Plan: Invade France quickly via Belgium, get them to surrender, then whirl around to deal with Russia. British declared war on Germany, to defend Belgium neutrality (as per their obligation).

During “Nation Building” how did the different powers show Nationalism?
Not only did nationalism have an impact on the unification of Italy, but it also had an impact on the unification of Germany. Because mass manufacturing of newspapers was new, the propagation of nationalism throughout Germany was simple, and, as in Italy, played a part in their success. Canada is a Dominion. Though the many colonies of British North America had many distinct strifes, and that unity carried many benefits, there was another incentive driving their unity; nationalism. If Canada was to become its own nation, apart from the British, unification was the only way to complete the country; and, over time, all of the colonies joined together to form one.
