How are urban communities and rural communities alike and different?
Urban cities and rural towns are both made up of smaller neighborhoods and communities where people live and interact with each other. They both have buildings, schools, and places where people live. Urban cities are different from rural towns because they are busier and more crowded. They have taller buildings that are closer together. Rural towns are quieter, and they have more land where people can farm.

How are rivers, lakes, and oceans alike and how are they different?
All are bodies of water, but they all have different shapes and sizes. A river is a stream of fresh water that usually flows into into a lake or ocean. A lake is a body of water that is completely surrounded by land. An ocean is an extremely large body of water that has salt in it.

What might happen is people cut down trees and do not plant new ones?
We will eventually run out of a natural resource. We will no longer have wood to build houses, and we will not be able to create paper and books. Also, animals that create habitats in trees will no longer have homes.

How have cities changed over time?
Cities usually grow larger. More people move into urban areas, so more buildings are built. Also, technology and transportation change. Cities like Shanghai now have more cars and subways.
