What is a monarchy?
A landowner who gave land and protection.
What is a lord?

What is realism?
To refuse to buy or support something or someone.

Having large armies and navies ready for war.
What is militarism?
People who trade and sell goods for a living.
What is a merchant?
A person who offers military service in exchange for land and protection.
What is a vassal?
A large estate that grows cash crops (sugarcane, cotton, tobacco, etc.)
What is a plantation?
A sudden change, or turn around, in the way things are done.
What is a revolution?
The belief that ones country is superior, including their culture and beliefs.
What is nationalism?
A government ruled by the people.
What is a democracy?
A political system of rule in which powerful lords divided their lands among lesser lords, or vassals.
What is Feudalism?
Using size and angles to make an object look 3-D.
What is perspective?
Someone advocating extreme change.
What is a radical?
Where a country uses all of its resources to win a war.
What is total war?
A group of government officials appointed by the ruler to assist him in running the country.
What is a bureaucracy?
A leader with no political power.
What is a figurehead?
Non-religious (religion is not the center of human affairs).

A written body of laws that describe how a government works.
What is a constitution?
A long economic downturn in the 1930s.
What is the Great Depression?
Taming (or training) plants and animals to make them more helpful to humans.
What is domestication?
A disease that spreads quickly through a population.
What is an epidemic?
A fundamental freedom or protection all should have.
What is a right?
A social and economic group in France.
What is an estate?
Giving into the demands of an aggressive country to avoid war.
