What is mezzo practice?
Mezzo social work involves the development and implementation of social service initiatives at the local and small community levels (ex. schools, neighborhoods, and city districts). Like micro social workers, mezzo social work practitioners tend to interact directly with the people they wish to assist.
What is self-awareness?
Self-awareness is the ability to focus on yourself and how your actions, thoughts, or emotions do or don't align with your internal standards. An example of self-awareness is your ability to distinguish your own beliefs from others. You can step back and ask yourself, Am I being true to myself at this moment? I spent much of my life feeling like I needed to fit into feminine norms.
