When working in a group setting, YES, if you do not communicate your idea, your team will not hear it and it could be left out of the solution.

You first should talk to them and explain why, if they do not stop contact your manager as this will protect your team

This means that the message your tried to communicate was received or interpreted differently than intended. This is why being a good communicator is important for work.
How do you become a great leader?
Focus on clear communication, active listening, and building trust within your team. A good leader leads by example.
If you cannot be flexible on a change, what should you do?
You should talk to your supervisor, if this is something you cannot do or feel is too much, speaking to your supervisor to help resolve the issue instead of letting it overwhelm you

Yes, without creative thinking, many things would look a lot different but people with ideas to innovate and change how things work to make it easier on everyone by being creative
