D1 courses are full year courses — September to April, D2 and D3 courses are half-credit courses— September to December, and January to April respectively

Bus pass: typically can't be done, but can happen in exceptional circumstances such as accessibility.
Health & Dental: go to StudentVIP.ca and follow their instructions. Must be repeated every year. Submission open Sept 1-30th.

How much is laundry?

Explain the difference between dining and flex dollars. Where can I use them? How can I reload them both?
Both come with the 5- and 7-day meal plans but you can only add to flex.

This is considered a drop, not a withdrawal— differentiate these. Go to my.brocku.ca, click "Register" on the left side of the screen.

Depending on the program, they are in a per-credit or flat fee tuition style. You can find a breakdown on SAFA's website.
How could I get tutoring on-campus? Is it free?
Tutoring is offered through the Learning Services Department. It is offered 1-1 on a paid basis, and in groups for free. Also various ways to get X amount of free tutoring (e.g through SAS, Hadiyadagenhahs)
"Is Village the party residence?"
Answers vary. Social environment changes every year with new students. Campu Safety is available 24/7 if there are any concerns. Quite hours. Lots of opportunities to get socially involved on campus in safe and respectful ways. ETC....
If I'm on an exchange, can I get OSAP funding? Do I pay Brock tuition or international tuition?

“I'm in the Medical Sciences program right now and I want to switch into the nursing program. What should I do?”
Applications for Nursing need to be submitted through OUAC. Meet with your academic advisor. Your first year grades will be used as basis for OUAC admission, and this switch cannot be guaranteed for meeting the minimum requirements
"What's the deadline to apply for OSAP?"
60 days before the end of your study period. But, recommended date is June 30th to receive funding for Sept 3rd.
How many co-op programs are there at Brock? What is co-op and when does your co-op term occur?
There's over 40 co-op programs at Brock. It is a form of experiential education where students work a minimum of 12 months in a field relevant to their degree pathway

Can only do this after first year, meet with your academic advisor during the spring/summer, fill out a declare/change major form.
What is OneApp? When should students apply?
The OneApp is a streamlined hub where students can apply for hundreds of awards and bursaries with a single application. Students should apply for the OneApp between August 1st and October 15th for best selection — OneApp is open until May 31st of the following year.
What mental health services are available at Brock and how can I access them? Do I need to pay?
Many mental health services available: Wellness HUB, personal counseling services, CARE and Connect to name a few. These services are included in students' ancillary fees; they do not need to pay out of pocket for these supports.
How safe is Brock?
Answer vary. General points: Campus Safety 24/7 (Bluelight poles, App, Walk Home, etc.), on a hill, only staff/students/faculty generally on-campus (rarely random public members), etc..

Context credits are required to give breadth and depth to students' degree, and give them experiences that fall out of their pathway. There are context courses for non-majors, such as the ASTR, SCIE, and some of our first year ERSC courses to ensure that regardless of one's experience level, they can successfully meet their degree requirements
Who is considered a part-time student?
Options: 1. A mature student needing at least a 60% + on first 2.00 credits
2. Non-permanently disabled student taking 1.00 credits/term). The WRONG answers — a student who has completed Academic Bridging, a non-permanently disabled student taking 1.5 credits/term
"Can I pay my tuition in installments? If so, when can I pay my tuition? I'm an international student."
The deadline for tuition for all students is the start of classes (September 3rd and Jan 5th). Interest isappleid at the first of each month (1.5%).
"What kind of accommodations can I get with my IEP?"
An IEP is not official documentation to recieve academic support but you can submit additional docs to through SAS for accommodation. *Redirect to SAS website*

Answers vary. Some general points: Lots of cultural based clubs (or start your own), BSSC, Hadiyahdagenhas, HRE advocators for student justice - SJC dropins for BIPOC students, etc....
How do I apply for residence and what specifications do I put down when I apply?
The residence application is found on the Housing Services website. Students can make many specifications, such as if they want to live in an alcohol and/or cannabis free floor, or want to live in a LLC (Living Learning Community). In terms of the application, students can choose which style of residence they'd like to live in, ranking them in order of preference.
