Transparent describes something that lets most of the light through. Example: glass window

Pitch is how high or low a sound is.
What is an echo?
An echo happens when sound bounces off a hard surface.
What does translucent mean?
Translucent means the light is scattered but some light passes through. For example: wax paper, thin fabric or a lampshade.
What is reflection?
A reflection is when light bounces off a surface and changes direction. For example: a mirror
What are a sound waves?
Sound waves are vibrations that can go through things like air, water, and solids.
Give an example of a doppler effect.
Ambulance siren: As it comes toward you, the pitch sounds higher; as it passes and moves away, the pitch drops lower.
What does opaque (O-pA-ck) mean?
An opaque object blocks all light. For example: wood, stone or concrete.

A refraction is when light bends on an angle. For example: a straw in a glass of water.
What is frequency?
the size of the sound waves.
close together waves are high pitch
Far apart waves are low pitch

A sonic boom is a thunder-like noise when an aircraft, travels through the air faster than the speed of sound (approx. 750 mph or Mach 1)
