What could we do to solve water scarcity?
Distribute water to countries with less water or limiting water waste.
What could happen if someone does not have enough water.
They could die of dehydration or infection.
Infection because if they did not have water to bathe they would not be clean and would be more likely to get infections.
What are the benefits of desalination?
Benefits of Desalination:
Purifying Water
Removing dangerous chemicals from bodies of water.
What is one of the causes of water scarcity
Water Waste or Geographical Location.
What is one of the countries affected by water scarcity.
Afghanistan and Syria
If you were a leader in a country that has water scarcity what could you do to solve water scarcity.
Trade with other countries or Reduce water waste.
What do we use water for and what would happen if we can't get the water for these actions?
Drinking Bathing Cooking Washing Clothes.
We would be dehydrated and dirty.
Water or other liquids that need these chemicals could lose them or limit fish in the area and disrupt fish economy.
Can water scarcity affect trade?
Yes because people who are dehydrated will not be at their best to make things to trade.
Would it be possible for the U.S.A to be affected by water scarcity?
It is possible however the chances are very slim as the U.S has a very big economy and could buy water.
Because some people can not afford water.
Imagine this, you are a fisherman and you try to go fishing what would be the impact of desalination when you try to go fishing?
Hint: The fish can only live in salt water.
Desalination would remove the salt from the water and would make the fish go away meaning you would catch less if not any fish.
Is Desalination more positive or negative?
Depends because in some situations it is a good thing but in others it is not.
Is water scarcity a solvable problem?
Probably not because there of geographical location and country relationships
