Would you report this to IRP? Minor A, who is 16 years old, reports to staff that Minor B, who is 5 years, grabbed her buttocks during recreation time. Minor A states that Minor B frequently touches her buttocks. She says she doesn’t like it when Minor B touches her. When staff asks Minor B about the incident, he says he’s only playing with Minor A.
No, This does not need to be reporter to IRP. You should document this internally (PSA Manager, PD & APD) followed by an IR. -The minor is 5 years old, and this behavior would be typical of minors in this age group, being touchy or curious. -Recommendation: Clinicians need to follow up with both youths regarding the incident and speak further with the 5-year-old about personal space and healthy boundaries.
