Liberalism is the idea that the government's main goal is to protect the individual freedoms of each citizen.

Because Serbian nationalists wanted to communicate to Austria Hungary that a. Serbia was not to be conquered b. Bosnia and Herzegovina should be part of Serbia
What was the policy of Appeasement and how did it cause the war?
The policy of appeasement was spearheaded by the British PM Neville Chamberlain. It allowed Germany and Italy small violations of the ToV in order to keep the peace. Caused was by allowing Germany the time and resources to become powerful enough to wage war.
What is Laissez-Faire Capitalism?
Where you the gov't takes little to no control of economics and leaves it up to the relationship between the buyer and seller. The idea is that this will work itself out as long as their is healthy competition (no monopolies)

Many citizens of conquered countries didn't like Napoleon because of forced blockades.
How did Italy gain Venezia?
They agreed to help Germany in the 7 Weeks war in return for this piece of land.
Why did Great Britain declare war on Germany?
Because Germany invaded Belgium (a neutral country and England's historic trade partner) to get to France.

Why are Fascists and Communists natural enemies?
Fascism is the political ideology that views the final goal of the gov't as to bring about glory for the entire nation.
Fascists believe in a hierarchy, whereas communists think hierarchy between men is the greatest evil.

Made agreements with Napoleon III to get out of there
Takes plebiscite while his army is terrorizing the streets.

Russia was unstable because of war
Tsar was overthrown and government was unstable and looking for leadership
The Bolsheviks took over government buildings through force.

Germany was weak because of post war indemnity
Hitler gained chancellorship b/c Prez Hindenburg was afraid of the communists
People voted to give him dictatorship for 4 years through plebiscite out of desperation and because he made them feel less shameful about WWI

Explain how Napoleon gained power in France
France was unstable because of the French Revolution. Napoleon took advantage of this and was already popular among the people for his military prowess. He sent out a plebiscite in which the people chose him as leader as a better alternative to the failing revolutionary government.
