What is the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
A developmental disability significantly affecting verbal and nonverbal communication and social interaction.
What is Autism?
Time allowed to respond to a staff member or parent request to convene an IEP Meeting.
What is 10 Calendar days?
A program with a high level of restrictiveness and intensity that serves students who need a great deal of specialized support.
A special class with a 12:1:4 ratio.
This ensures that no changes can be made in a child's program without prior notice to the parents. It also provides a mechanism for the resolution of disagreements when parents disagree with the program recommendations of the school district.
What is due process?
When a child appears to be struggling in school parents, teachers or other school personnel can do this

What is Section 504? An educational plan that is written for a student who needs modifications or accommodations within the general education classroom environment.
